I hope that you are all doing well. I miss all of our dancers and being in the studio immensely! I am obsessively checking for updates in the hope that our dance season will continue on as planned.
We will remain closed until Friday March 27 with classes expected to resume on Saturday March 28. I have spoken with State Representative Frank Farry's office and was informed that at this point there are no mandated requirements that we stay closed. I am taking that confirmation as good news!
Still, we must take things day by day as news is constantly changing. I will continue to inform and update you as the week goes on.
Recital ticket sales originally scheduled for this Saturday March 21 have been postponed.
Thank you for keeping in contact with me, sending me pictures/videos of your dancers and being part of our TABDC family!

Dear TABDC families,
Following recommendations from the CDC, surround school districts, our community and feedback from you, I have made the decision to close Take a Bow Dance Center for two weeks beginning today, Friday march 13. We plan to reopen for classes on Saturday March 28.
This precaution will help reduce the spreading of the Coronavirus. Our students safety is top priority. I am working toward putting together video classes so please keep an eye on your email this week.
Thank you for your understanding and be well,

The Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) is a respiratory illness that can spread from person to person. It can be eliminated with good cleaning and hygiene practices. Our studio already practices standard cleaning procedures each day and are cleaning more frequently to help combat this particular and all other viruses.
You can find more information about the coronavirus at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC Website) which is updated frequently with information about the coronavirus.
Some tips from the website to help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses, such as coronavirus includes:
Cover coughs and sneezes with your elbow. Do not use your hands;
Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds each time;
If soap and water are not available, use a 60% or higher alcohol-based hand sanitizer;
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands;
Stay home if you are sick! This is as much for your benefit as those that will be near you at work and school;
Clean surfaces frequently, including counter tops, light switches, cell phones, electronic devices, remotes and other frequently touched items.
At this point in time, Take a Bow Dance Center will remain open and run as usual. We will be doing the following:
Having each student use hand sanitizer at the beginning and conclusion of each class.
I will be handing out stickers instead of stamps.
Using lysol on our equipment (barres, hoolahoops, scarves etc) in between each class.
Regularly spraying our door knobs and seated areas.
Some things you can do to help
Enter the studio no more than 3-5 minutes before your class time.
For dancers who are old enough, please drop them off for class and pick them up at the conclusion. The less people we have in the lobby the less chance of contracting an illness.
For our younger dancers, please only bring one parent. No siblings or additional family members.
If your dancer runs a fever or shows any symptoms of even the common cold, please leave them home until they have been symptom free for 24 hours.
Should any of our students come into contact with an exposed person either through school or personal life, Take a Bow Dance Center will close for a few days to deeply clean the studio.
Saturdays at the studio are exceptionally busy. I would like to temporarily change class times beginning Saturday March 14 to help avoid a crowded lobby and give me the chance to wipe down all studio equipment before the next class begins.
